Summer Reading event was Digging for Treasure.  6 children and two adults attended.
Participants decorated a pirate ship, listened to the book How I became a Pirate , and sailed around the library in search of treasure.  The treasure hunt ended with the discovery of the Pirate Chest full of jewels, candy, and games.  Each child chose two treasures from the chest, then went outside to dig for gold dubloons in the sand pile.  Cookies and apple juice finished the day.
